I studied Art and Education at Goldsmiths' College University of London specialising in ceramic sculpture. After a career in education, I have  recently returned to art, studying Fine Art at CityLit college in Covent Garden.

Working predominantly with water-based media; watercolour and acrylic and occasionally monoprint I aim to convey my responses to the natural landscapes  in London and the South-East where I live.

​

I am fascinated by seasonal changes and the shifting and often magical effects of light at different times of day frequently returning to familiar locations. Wild corners in my local environment are of particular interest to me as well as woodlands, wetlands, creeks, rivers and coastal scenes.

​

My work is informed by close observation and drawing, both on site and from photographs.
